SPEECH ARTS I (COLLEGE PREP) 10-12 Speech Arts I helps to create a foundation for students to work on communication and life skills. Theater games, improvisational activities, movement to music and group work are fundamental to this class that helps to prepare students for life beyond high school.
SPEECH ARTS II (HONORS) 11-12 Speech Arts II builds upon Speech Arts I wherein students continue to work on communications skills. Theater games, improvisational activities and movement to music make way for creative scene work. Students wishing to build upon their initial speech arts foundation and who want to further develop their communication/acting skills may take this class more than one time for credit, providing they have taken Speech Arts I. PREREQUISITE: Speech Arts I
ACTING I (HONORS) 11-12 This class is a workshop for students who are highly motivated to perform. It includes trust activities, improvisation, monologue, dialogue, and scene work. Students must be capable of memorizing and performing monologues, dialogues and scenes. PREREQUISITE: Speech Arts
ACTING II (HONORS) 12 Acting II continues to engage students in dramatic activities that include improvisation, monologue, dialogue, and scene work. Students will have opportunities to perform publicly. PREREQUISITE: Speech Arts
